fantastic stay near san marco
great roomexcellent attentiontasty breakfastmissing facilities
the hotel room was great (it was a beautiful double or twin room). the air conditioning worked perfectly. the front desk staff provided excellent, around-the-clock attention. breakfast was tasty, especially the pancakes. i liked the quiet location and clean bathrooms.
there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. i would have liked to have these available.

thin walls
The walls seemed rather thin. I could hear a fair bit of noise from neighboring rooms. lugging my suitcase up those stairs reminded me of an olympic sport i didn't sign up for. perhaps a warning about the stairs would be beneficial .

The breakfast had a great selection. the room was super clean and modern. the location was perfect. A supermarket was directly opposite the building, so it was really useful.
The room was small. sound insulation was very poor. I could hear noises from outside and from other rooms. i didn't sleep well as a result.

a mixed bag of experiences
early noisepoor soundproofing
The noise early in the morning was quite disruptive (i really value my sleep). the supermarket nearby received deliveries starting around 6:15 am. this caused a lot of noise, amplified by the surrounding buildings. also, soundproofing between rooms wasn't great. I could easily hear my neighbors.

The breakfast was especially amazing! it had sweet and savory buffets with lots of choices. the room was clean, and service was very good. location was also ideal. It was halfway between the rialto and st mark's, but not in the major flow of traffic.
the pillows were not comfortable enough for my taste.
